Family court grants divorce to Prabhu Deva - Ramlath

The Chennai Principal Family Court granted divorce for actor - director Prabhu Deva and his wife Ramlath on Thursday.
Dissolving the marriage of Prabhu Deva with Latha held in September, 1995, the Family Court judge TCS Raja Chockalingam says in his order, "The marriage tie between the petitioners deserves to be snapped and it is held that they are entitled for divorce on mutual consent as per Sec 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act.".
The judge noted that the relationship between the petitioners had strained and they were living separately from January 2008. They had exchanged their articles and made it clear that they would not make any claim including maintenance and property against each other in the future, the judge said.
He also ordered to keep the two children of the couple with Ramlath.
