Chances of rains in one or two places

Chennai Meteorological Centre has mention that there will be rains in one or two places though there is scorching due to Agni Natchathiram. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres at 8.30 hours on 5th are as under
Kuzhithurai (Kanyakumari Dist) 3, Sivagiri (Tirunelveli Dist), Srivilliputhur (Virudhunagar Dist), Shencottah (Tirunelveli Dist) 2 each, Pandavaiyar head (Tiruvarur Dist), Valparai pto (Coimbatore Dist), Pechiparai (Kanyakumari Dist), Uthagamandalam (Nilgiris Dist)
1 each.
For the next 24 hours, dry weather will prevail as usual. Some of the districts close to Western Ghats will receive rains in one or two places.
