Depression is likely to change into deep depression

Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that in next 24 hours there will be decrease in rainfall. The well-marked low-pressure area is centered about 90 km south-southeast of Chennai. The depression is likely to move north-northwestwards (along the coast of Tamil Nadu and South coastal Andhra Pradesh) and intensify into a deep depression (one step away from being called a cyclone). It has also been mentioned that there will be heavier rains in Northern districts of Tamil Nadu.
