Fresh summons to Kalanithi Maran

The Chennai Police have issued fresh summons to Kalanithi Maran, Chairman and Managing Director of Sun Network asking him to appear before the investigation officer at the K.K. Nagar police station here on July 28.
According to police sources, Mr. Maran who was summoned to appear in connection with a cheating case on July 13 had sought any date after July 26 as he was engaged in some pre-fixed appointments.
"We have asked him to appear on Thursday," a senior police official said parrying questions on whether the summons was personally served to Mr. Maran.
