Merit list for MBBS and BDS seats will be announced on Friday ( 17th June). Random numbers for 25814 applicants was released yesterday on the website. For the academic year 2016-17, 2853 seats are available.
The merit list is calculated based on the percentage of marks secured by a candidate in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. In the event of a tie, candidates with higher marks in Chemistry get preference. If many students have the same scores then the percentage in the fourth optional subject is taken into account.
Students could check their random numbers on the websites
www.tnhealth.org and
www.tn.gov.in by entering their acknowledgement registration (AR) number.
First phase of counselling will begin for the special category on June 20 and go on till the 25th..
The second phase counselling will be conducted from July 18 to 21.
