Following the transfer of Swathi’s gruesome murder case to the Chennai police department, inquiries have started too. The police officials have immediately blocked Swathi’s Facebook account, and are in search of the assassin through WhatsApp.
The policemen are cornered and forced to hunt for the criminal and identify him at the earliest. Hence the officials have intensified their hunt! Three separate teams are formed to carry out inquiries. At this juncture, Swathi’s Facebook account is being blocked, aiming to source any clues about the murderer.
Swathi has got the habit of visiting Gangai Amman Kovil at Choolaimedu. When she visited the temple recently, there seems to be a man following her and asked whether she could recognize him. When she said she could not recognize, he is said to have insisted her to think well and tell. The priest in this temple had observed this conversation. Now, police officials have started inquiries to know if this person who spoke to her in the temple and the assassin are the same.
It is said that the murderer has snatched her cell phone. However, the police are also inquiring in the perspective that the phone might be with someone else passing by in the railway station. The phone is so far not turned on. However, the very first step taken by the Chennai police officials is Swathi’s mobile number. They sourced the list of all incoming and outgoing calls in this number. They now have with them the entire list of messages sent and received through in her mobile number in the last one month.
Swathi’s murder is now wide-spreading from local to all international channels. The Chennai police officials can prove who they are only by tracking down the criminal, say social activists.
