Description : 101 School Students from Chennai are planning to attempt a world record and this is one for the history books. On the 3rd of July, Sunday, the students from Kidobotikz are planning to rally 101 ATV robots on the Elliots Beach, Besant Nagar between 6 AM and 8 AM. The event would encompass 101 students assembling their robots in-situ and riding them on the beach in a line formation. This record rally is being organized to promote the MAKER MOVEMENT and its role in technically empowering kids of the modern age.
Kidobotikz is a initiative of SP Robotic Works which has been working towards promoting the concepts of robotics among school children. Kidobotikz, which was established following a desire to promote a hands-on approach for school children to master the concepts of mechanical engineering, electronics and electrical engineering used in the area of robotics, currently imparts training to thousands of students through its digital model . Students enrol in the first level and progress through to the next levels and on-the-way learn from the basics of electronics to walking robots practically - with a detailed progress report shared every instant with the parent ! Following a surge in the interest of enthusiasts and parents who have expressed willingness in enrolling their kids in the robotics programmes offered by Kidobotikz, the startup is scaling up its reach by expanding to other parts of South India later this year. The company recently raised $300,000 in seed funding from Indian Angel Network (IAN) and The Chennai Angels (TCA) in March 2016 for its expansion.
