What to answer about Swathys suspect killer? - Police Commissioner

Ramkumar has been stalking the software techie Swathi since the last few days.

The Chennai Metro City Police Commissioner Mr. T K Rajendran informed that since he could not win any favours from him, Ramkumar proceeded to murder her.

The Chennai metro city police commissioner had a session with the press reporters regarding the arrest of the suspect killer of the software techie Swathi.

He informed that the techie Swathi was murdered on the Nungambakkam Railway Station on 24th June. Egmore Railway Police conducted the enquiry.

They handed over the case to Chennai city Police. A multiple stage enquiry was conducted. Swathi’s family extended full cooperation for this.

The police received some information from abroad as well.

Based on these details, the police arrested Ramkumar, an engineer from Sengottai, Thirunelveli district.

When Ramkumar was being caught, he attempted to commit suicide. The police immediately admitted him in the Tenkasi Government Hospital to administer First Aid and then took him to Palayamkottai Medical College Hospital for further treatment.

A special enquiry team from Chennai has gone to Thirunelveli to conduct the enquiry. The police department wishes to record its thanks to the public and the press who were very helpful in conducting the enquiry.

Ramkumar had been stalking Swathi whenever she was travelling or returning home. He wanted to become friends with her. However, there was no scope for that. Hence, he proceeded to murder her.

The full details will come out when the enquiry is in progress.It has been established that no other person helped Ramkumar in this murder.The photo of the suspect killer cannot be released now.

When the reporters asked about how Ramkumar was arrested or how the police could detect the killer, the commissioner replied that he could not answer these questions as the enquiry is still in progress.
