Stock-trading through smartphone has doubled in the last one year.
Though the percentage share of stock-trade through smartphones is rather low in the overall statistics, this has shown an increasing trend over the last year.
As per the figures released by BSE, the stock-trading through mobile
phones was 2.12 percent during last June.
This can be compared to the stock-trading through mobile phone in the year 2015 in June, which was only 0.74 percent.
As per the figures of NSE, the stock-trading through mobile phone is 3.32 percent.
During the month of June in the year 2012, the stock-trading though mobile phones in BSE was as low as 0.03 percent. In the year 2014, the corresponding figure for June was 0.39 percent.
As per NSE, stock-trading through mobile phones in last June (2016) was Rs. 12732 Crores.
SEBI approved the operation of stock-trading through mobile phones in the year 2010.Though the traders initially operated only through dealers, several special Apps have been developed in the recent months and are available for the stock-trading through mobile phones.This has contributed to the increase. A stock-trading expert indicated that the price increase of smartphone is a reflection of the increases in stock-trading through mobile phones.
