Music composer Santhosh Narayan has stated that the Neruppu da song from Kabali movie was composed during Chennai floods in December last year. It hardly took 30 minutes for composing it, he added.
Santhosh Narayan was interviewed in a radio station where he was questioned about composing for Kabali movie.
When asked about composing for Rajinikanth, he said it is unbelievable. I composed a few tracks. I started my journey with music composition for Rajini only after he started liking my composition.
I initially composed two songs and played to him. I decided to remove those songs if he rejects them. I was trembling when I took it to him, but he liked them both so much. It gave me immense pleasure and joy.
The director had already told to take away the thought that I am supposed to compose for the superstar. By doing so, your songs will suit the movie perfectly and it will not just be a song for Rajinikanth.
When asked about where he sources inspiration for composing, he said he absorbs the music from all music composers. We have got the best music in the world. When I think of Chennai, it gives me added energy and enthusiasm.
He also hinted that the songs were composed in his own house and studio, and said Neruppu da song was composed during Chennai floods in December last year. I composed it in my home while experiencing power cut. We completed the song in hardly 30 minutes, he pointed.
In a funny note, he stated that he has pre-booked flight tickets to Australia if his compositions made for Rajinikanth are not well received by the public. He says he very well knows the adverse effects of a poor music composed for the superstar.
However, the movie crew said there is going to be no music release function. On observing good reception for the song by the public, I realized that the songs are all a huge hit.
When asked to share his feelings about one crore and counting views for Nerupupu da song, he said all the credits goes to Rajini sir.
