Indias most valued Brand - Tata

Tata is India’s most valued brand. However, its brand reputation has come down by 11 percent.

In the financial year 2015016, with a total worth of US Dollars 1370 Crores, Tata is India’s most valued brand. However, according to Brand Finance, due to the crisis faced in the England Smelting Plant, Tata met with a reduction in the brand reputation by 11 percent.

This is considered to be a rather steep fall and has caused instability in the smelting plant industry. Brand Finance India Head Ajimone Francis explains that this instability has affected Tata as well. Brand Finance has released the list of the 100 most valued brands in India.

In this list for 2015-16, the companies Tata, LIC, AirTel are in the top 10 places. LIC in the 2nd place is worth US Dollars 600 Crores. AirTel, in 3rd position, is worth US Dollars 570 Crores. Others with worth in US Dollars given in brackets: SBI (570), Infosys (470), Reliance (350), ONGC (340), L&T (330), Indian Oil (320), and Hindustan Unilever (320). They are all in the top 10 places.

The brands value is calculated after considering several aspects. The revenue earned by the company, the profit, and future prospects and other aspects are considered.

The value of HDFC Bank, IDEA Cellular, and Amul has gone up. The value of Adani has come down. Adani was in the 26th place in the last year list. Now, it has come down to 60th place. The values of Suzlan, IOB, and Voltas have come down.

It is noteworthy that the increase in value of Royal Enfield. It has gone up by 91 percent at US Dollars 51.9 Crores. Last Year, Royal Enfield was in 84th place. Now, it is in 49th place.

Francis explained that the brand value of Indian companies are steadfast. New brands have surfaced in the fields of E-commerce, IT, and Banking. The growth of these companies have also contributed to the country’s growth.
