New Additional General Manager for Southern Railway

Shri P.K. Mishra has assumed charge as Additional General Manager of Southern Railway on 22nd July,2016.
Shri P.K. Mishra, a post graduate from IIT-Madras belongs to the 1980 batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE).Shri.P.K. Mishra has served Indian Railways in various capacities in Southern, South Western and North East Frontier Railway zones.In Southern Railway he has served as Chief Administrative Officer/Construction, Divisional Railway Manager of Chennai Division, Chief Track Engineer as well as Chief Planning and Development Engineer. He has also held the post of Dean, Indian Railway Institute of Civil Engineering, Pune.
During his 34 year service Shri P.K. Mishra has executed several important capacity augmentation projects for Southern Railway, significantly, the Chennai Beach-Tambaram Gauge Conversion Project which was executed in a record period of 4 months.As a civil engineer he has been associated with construction of bridges across River Brahmaputra, Ganges, and Cauvery. He also brings with him the rich experience of having travelled across Sweden, Germany, France, Switzerland and other European countries.
