All proceeds from this batch will go to support the projects we will be doing in primary schools in rural Tamil Nadu that need help the most. We will start with the school I visited in Karaikkal - it`s located about 15 kms from the town and the parents of these children have a very low income and their earnings are barely enough to support their needs. Your contribution by participating in this workshop will be spent on giving quality food (we taught the staff there to make fruit salads, juices, healthy snacks etc which the kids loved) and getting books. We will expand our projects to other areas once these basics are covered.
About the workshop - This terracotta workshop is designed to teach the art of terracotta jewellery making. These techniques will include beads, jhumkas, necklace, earrings and pendant making. Come and learn this art that will open the doors to make your creativity flow at the same time enhancing the livelihood of so many lives!
If you are not able to join our terracotta workshops but would still like to donate to the project, you may drop a mail to us: yaksha@dhanyam.in or reach us on 9159808169 / 9840639018.
