Onam Festival: Sabarimala Sri Ayyappan Temple corridors to be opened on 12th September

On the occasion of Kerala’s most popular and important festival of Onam and for performing special poojas during the Tamil/Kerala sacred calendar month of Purattasi, the corridors of the famous Sabarimala Sri Ayyappan temple will be opened on 12th September.

From the next day (13th September), Onam festival special poojas will be performed. The Special Onam feast offer will be given for all the devotees visiting the temple from 13th September to 16th September for a period of 4 days.

During this 4-day period, apart from the routine poojas, special poojas such as Sahasrakalashabhisehekham, Kalababishekam, Pushpabhishekham, Padi Pooja, and Udhayasthamana Pooja will be performed.

As the Tamil/Kerala calendar month of Purattasi is born during the special Onam poojas, the temple corridors of Sri Sabarimala Ayyappan temple will be kept open for 9 days.

The devotees can perform/organise Neyyabhishekham during all these 9 days.

The temple corridors will be closed by 10.00 PM om 21st September. The special Onam festival and Purattasi month poojas come to a close on 21st September.
