Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned that there will be rains with lightning today in Tamil Nadu.
There have been rains in Tamil Nadu due to low Pressure area which now lies over the northwest Bay of Bengal A low pressure over the Bay of Bengal is likely to trigger very heavy rainfall coupled with strong gusty surface wind in some parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. As far as Chennai is concerned the sky will be cloudy and there will be rains in one or two places in the evening ort nightThundershowers today in Tamil Nadu
