Many a times, we would have experienced severe hunger pangs before going to bed, even if we had had dinner. It even affects our sleep.
We are always skeptical whether or not to have snacks at night times, not wanting to gather weight.
It is important that our food intakes at night times are healthy and rich in nutrition. Here are a few ideas to quench your hunger pangs at night:
- Take a handful of corn or oats, and add a cup full of freshly boiled milk. Consume the mix, preferably without sugar. In addition to satisfying your hunger, it also aids you in getting better sleep
- Have a cup full of curd when hungry at night. It contains Tryptophan which gives you the feeling of fullness when had
- Take fruits like apple, banana, pomegranate, etc. Consume them raw or make a salad and have a cup full of it. You get good night sleep, and yet refrain from gaining weight due to late night munching
- Fish does not contain fat. It mainly contains protein and minerals. Hence, consuming food at night is a good choice too, as it also gets easily digested and gives good sleep. However fried fish should be avoided, as it can easily lead to indigestion troubles.
