Delay in north east monsoon

An official of the Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned: A depression over east-central Bay of Bengal, which is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm and move towards the north Myanmar. This is dragging the moisture current away and bringing northerly or north-westerly winds towards Tamil Nadu.
In view of this, there will be delay in the north east monsoon. Only after this system weakens, the north east monsoon will set in Tamil Nadu after 27th October. The south west monsoon in the North has withdrawn and snow fall is happening. Because of this, the climate is cool in Tamil Nadu. In the 24 hours there will be rainfall in one or two places of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to convective heat exchange.
