Prospects of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are very good prospects of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu on 30th and 31st October.
A brief on the press release by the Chennai Meteorological Centre:
The cyclonic form Kyant; which formed over the Southeast of Visakhapatnam in Andhra has weakened. There are prospects of Kyant weakening further to transform into a depression zone.
Because of this, there are good prospects of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu in a few places on 30th and 31st October.
The meteorological center has also informed that it might rain in a few places in coastal and interior districts today (28th October).
It has also informed that it may rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu on the day of Deepavali.
