State Transport Corporation to roll out 200 new comfy buses

About 8 transport corporations including that of Vilupuram and 22,400 buses are functional under the Tamil Nadu transport corporation. Over 10,000 buses are functional between the districts Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Madurai, Thirunelveli, etc. Every year, additional numbers of 1000 buses are introduced.
In addition to these, there is going to be new government express buses similar to omni buses. Speaking about this, the higher officials at state transport corporation state that those who wish comfortable travel experience are ready to shell out more. Hence, grabbing attention of such commuters, the government is being insisted for rolling out such deluxe buses comfortable for travel.
These buses will comprise of facilities including 2 plus 1 seats, sleeper seater, TV, mobile phone charger, etc. the state express transport corporation has allotted funds to buy 200 new buses. Out of these, a significant number of them will be like Omni buses. These will be functional by Pongal festive 2017.
