Chennai Meteorological Centre: Heavy rains today in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological centre has informed that there may be heavy rains in a few places today (Tuesday, 1st November) in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Northeast monsoon rainy season commenced on 30th October. Because of this, it has been raining in several districts in the state.
In this scenario, the Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that there may be heavy rains in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the cyclonic format in the upper layer over the Bay of Bengal has moved to the land area away from the shore and has stabilised in the region over the area in the Karnataka/Kerala/Tamil Nadu states. So, it may rain in Coimbatore, Tirupur, Nilgiris, and Erode districts.
The meteorological centre has further informed that there are prospects of rain in Mysore and nearby areas in the state of Karnataka.
