Reliance to roll out Double demand for 4G VoLTE devices

According to recent reports, the Voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE) demand has doubled ever since Reliance Jio got launched. To note, Jio is a VoLTE only network that is compatible to handsets with this capability. Following its launch, Reliance joined hands with smartphone makers for making available VoLTE enabled devices to all the customers.
There is high demand in price sensitive rural areas as the market is in close association with VoLTE technology to make free voice calls. The same band is used for making data and voice by Reliance, and at the same time, the other service offered is voice over the LTE network. As compared to Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, the Tier 4 and Tier 4 companies have more demand. There is also increase in search for VoLTE devices in the budget category smartphones.
According to analysts, most devices are expected to support VoLTE. One third of devices available in the market are VoLTE devices. To note, Reliance Jio is pioneer in adopting and deploying this latest technology. Reports by analysts affirm the total number of VoLTE devices sold in this quarter is double that of the number sold during the same quarter last year.
