Airtel Marathon Rockers are all set to rock Delhi on 27th Nov

With the few days left to flag off Airtel Delhi Half Marathon (Delhi’s most phenomenal annual sporting event to be held on 27th November 2011), Bharti Airtel has flagged off a special initiative titled ‘Airtel Marathon Rockers’. In a bid to be selected as ‘Airtel Marathon Rockers’, 27 bands gathered to audition forth a tough panel of judges (which comprised of Gavin Pacheco from Faridkot and Chintan Kalra, Ex Parikrama) at Faculty of Arts --- North Campus. The 8 electrifying bands selected from a total of 27 participating bands, would perform at the hot spots at ‘Airtel Delhi Half Marathon’ which are Soul’d Out, The Aphids, Colossal Figures, Arjun, Doppler Effect, Lafz-e-dilli, Project Hustle and Solfege.
A unique blend of music and sports, ‘Airtel Marathon Rockers’ was a competition that will give the selected bands an opportunity to perform for the city’s first ever morning musical extravaganza that will be held in specially created zones along the track of Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2011 in 27th November.
These bands will not only pump up the energies of those participating in Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, but also keep the spectators in high spirit – thus contributing to the theme of ‘friendship’ which has been chosen as the focus of this year’s marathon.
