CM gives Collector Award Nov 2011

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister today presented awards to best performing collectors of the State as part of two day conference.
1st Prize - Trichy Collector Jayashree Muralitharan
2nd Prize - Perambalur Collector Taris Ahmed
3rd Prize - Madurai Collector Sahayam
3rd Prize - Tiruvarur Collector Munianathan
5th Prize - Salem Collector Maha Bhushanam
4 Awards were given to former Collectors AC Mohan Das, Venkatesan, Gopala Krishnan and Vallalar.
The Chief Minister, after going through requests by Collectors, made a slew of announcements, including the upgradation of the Mettupalayam Road, Trichy Road, Avinashi Road, Pollachi Road and Sathyamangalam Road; flyovers at Ukkadam, Athupalam and Western Ring Roadl: permitting fishermen in Ramanathapuram district to go for multi-day fishing in deep seas and declaring Chitra Pournami as a religious festival.
