45,000 teachers from government schools to be trained in English

45,000 teachers from government primary and upper primary schools will be trained in English language by the new flock of Block Resource Teacher Educators (BRTE) in the third consecutive year of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Education and Development Project programme which is being conducted by the Tamil Nadu Sarva Siksha Abhiyan with an aim to improve English language proficiency among teachers in the state.
The venture is is being conducted along with British Council and UNICEF (United Nations International Children`s Education Fund),
