There is a controversy that other state candidates have been selected under the Tamil Nadu vacancies quota.

The Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts Common Written examinations for all the nationalized banks. But the country’s biggest bank State Bank Of India conducts its recruitment examination.

Accordingly, the SBI had issued notification during the month of April for 17400 junior associate vacancies. Quotas were allocated to all the states including Tamil Nadu. 1420 vacancies were allotted to Tamil Nadu. Preliminary, mains and interviews were completed and the results were announced on Wednesday. At this juncture, it is seen that candidates from Kerala and other northern states were selected under Tamil Nadu quota. Now there is a complaint that Tamil Nadu candidates have been very badly affected.

But according to the banking recruitment roles a candidate can appear for Exam from any States of India irrespective of place of birth, place of study or place of work.
