Integrated Traffic Management system Soon In Chennai

Chief minister J Jayalalithaa declared an integrated traffic management system will soon be introduced in Chennai city on a BOT (build, operate and transfer) basis under the annuity model. She was speaking at the police officers` conference at the secretariat .
Among the other major announcements ,CM said , "on the state borders , integrated check posts will be setup with sophisticated equipment ; Tiruppur , beset with problems of migrant labour and traffic congestion , will be made a separate police commissionerate ; and the e-challan system , successfully introduced in Chennai , will be extended to five other police commissionerates and Kancheepuram ."
