Features of new Rs.2000 notes

  • It has a latent image of denominational number 2000 
  • There is denominational numeral २००० present in Devnagari
  • The centre of the note has a Mahathma Gandhi portrait
  • The left side of the note has the letters RBI and 2000
  • There is also a security thread having inscriptions made as भारत, RBI and 2000 present with a shift of colors. When the note is titled, a change of color from green to blue is observed 
  • Towards the right side of the note, there is guarantee clause, signature of the governor and promise clause and emblem of RBI 
  • Towards the right of Mahatma Gandhi portrait and electrotype 2000, there is the emblem of Ashoka Pillar
  • At the bottom right, there is denominational numeral along with the symbol o Rupee. This will change its color from green to blue 
  • The numerals in the number panel seen at the top left and bottom right will grow from small to big 
  • See through register with 2000 as denominational numeral 
Features for the visually impaired 

For the visually impaired, there is raised printing or intaglio of Mahatma Gandhi portrait. There is Ashok Pillar emblem and bleed lines and also an identity mark.
  • There is raised print of horizontal rectangle seen at the right 
  • The left and right sides have seven angular bleed lines printed 
  • Backside of the note.
  • There is year of printing along left side 
  • The Swachh Bharat logo along with the slogan is seen 
  • The centre has a language panel

  • There is denominational numeral २००० in Devnagari
