Government servants should submit Prior Intimation Letter to obtain passport

Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department of Tamil Nadu State Government has mentioned as follows: In the Government Order No 117, amendments were issued to Rule 24 A of the Tamil Nadu Government Service Conduct Rules 1973 prescribing a form for issue of an identity certificate and no objection certificate to apply for grant/renewal of passport. At this juncture, the Ministry of External Affairs have introduced a Prior Intimation Letter to be submitted by the government servants for grant/renewal of passport. Amendment regarding this has been done by the Tamil Nadu government.
