Chennai Corporation taxes can be paid will 15th December

Greater Chennai Corporation commissioner Karthikeyan has mentioned that the taxes due to the corporation can be paid in 500 rupee old notes till 15th December.Taxes to be paid to Chennai Corporation can be paid using old 500 rupee notes (only) till 15th December (except 12th December).
The Centre said old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes can be used to pay utility bills, taxes, penalty and fees to central and state governments. Based on this the Chennai Corporation received 500 and 1000 rupees notes towards property tax, profession tax and other allied taxes.
