Chennai ranks 4th in selling used smartphones

Right from village to city, from children to elders, all are having something in common. That is smartphone. Though the latest model smartphones are launched in the markets, the sales have been increasing but not decreasing. In the current situation, people who buy smartphones use it only 6 months to 1-2 years.
 
At this juncture, a report called Second Hand Smartphone Market in India by ecommerce app Cashify said Delhiites are ranked number one when it comes to upgrading smartphones as 19 per cent while people in Bengaluru came second with 15 per cent of request generated to sell used smartphones. In Mumbai, 11 per cent sent requests to sell second-hand smartphone.
 
The report said: Chennai’s numbers are the most surprising among all markets. Ranking fourth as a second-hand market after Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai, the city generates eight per cent of requests to sell used phones. Number of mobile users in India is expected to reach 990 million by 2020.
