Last Tuesday, the Currency Note Press at Nasik and Currency Note Press at Dewas created a record by printing Rs 3.75 Crores. An official of Currency Note Press said: 2.05 Crores new currencies were printed at the Currency Note Press at Nasik in Maharashtra State. 1.70 Crores were printed at Currency Note Press at Dewas in Madhya Pradesh State. Out of Rs 3.75 Crores printed 2.65 Crores rupees were new 500 notes. The remaining were Rs 100, 50 and 20. Rs 3.3 Crores new currencies were printed on 23rd December. Out of this 1.9 Crores were printed at Currency Note Press at Nasik and the remaining Rs 1.4 Crores were printed at Currency Note Press at Dewas.
