Indian IT industry to battle in 2017

The Indian IT industry worth $143 billion that has been undergoing different challenges in 2016 will also continue in the newly born 2017.
British vote for leaving the European Union, protectionism in US and other prominent markets, amendment of visa regulations, changes in traditional business models, introduction of new technologies like Internet of Things, Cloud, etc are some of the new challenges.
According to experts’ views, most of these will be apparently experienced in 2017. Indian companies will have to wait and watch, especially as Donald Trump has won the President election in the US. It is to be remembered that Trump had stressed on making H-1B visa regulation a bit more stringent so as to encourage more domestic job offers.
H-1B visa
The H-1B visa is traditionally for the Indian IT firms to get short-term work permit and send their employees to work in the US for short time period. It is for this reason that the Indian industry association has approached the government, requesting for helping hands to pull off challenges caused by increasing protectionism and anti-globalization activities.
In the major markets of Indian IT services companies, there are huge political changes been seen. P.N. Sudharshan, Partner Deloitte says these moves will however not disturb the business models of these companies.
