Union budget on 1st February

The Union budget is scheduled to be presented on 1st February 2017.For this year, the Railways Budget will also be combined with the General Budget presentation ending the very long tradition of a separate Railway Budget over 92 years.
There was a central cabinet Ministers` meeting conducted to finalise the presentation of the budget session. The meeting was presided over by the Home Minister Rajnath Singh. It was decided that the budget presentation session will be scheduled from 31st January to 9th February in 3 stages.
As per this scheduled, the Economic Analytical report will be presented on 31st January. The general budget will be presented on 1st February. The Railway budget also is a part of this. It may be noted that there has been a 92-year tradition of presenting the Railway Budget separately.
