Following the demonetization and the subsequent severe cash shortage, the regulation that charges will be levied in case more than 5 cash withdrawals are made from ATMs was cancelled.
However, the deadline for no ATM charges for unlimited withdrawals was over by the deadline on 31st December.
Now that the deadline is over, there seems to be no discussions/decisions regarding extending this facility either by the central government or from the Reserve Bank of India.
As such, information is gathered that charges would be levied as per the conditions before demonetization if cash is withdrawn more than 5 times from ATMs during a month.
