The Reserve Bank of India has announced that the 10 rupee coins in circulation are valid and not to believe in rumours.
Reserve Bank of India has mentioned: Rumours are being spread among the public that 10 rupee coins are invalid. This is wrong news. The 10 rupee coins which are under circulation are valid. The Indian Reserve Bank circulates the coins that are minted by the Indian Government. The coins will be in circulation for a longer duration than the currency notes. Hence the coins minted in various dimensions will be under circulation. People should avoid these rumours and start using 10 rupee coins. The coins are legally valid.
