The Tamil Nadu Government has decided to impose a penalty of Rs 1 Lakhs for the people who let out the sewage in the streets in Chennai. Similarly the government has mentioned that it will table a detailed report on infectious diseases in Tamil Nadu.
Yesterday, Municipal Administration Minister S P Velumani moved a bill. This bill prevents residents letting out the sewage water in the streets. As per the bill a resident can be fined between Rs 5000 to Rs 1 Lakhs. Similarly the penalty for the commercial complexes will be between Rs 10000 and Rs 2 Lakhs.
DMK deputy leader, Durai Murugan, poised a question on swine flu. In reply to this Chief Minister O Panneerselvam said that a detailed report on the disease will be obtained and necessary action will be taken.
