Special Officers for getting Education loans through simple and fast procedure

The central Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal informed that the new Relationship Officers will be exclusively appointed soon for facilitating the quick and simple processing of Education Loans.
The Minister was participating in the group discussion conducted on behalf of the Electronic Journal Presence and Education Loan Service centre in Chennai on Friday (17th February) regarding Education Loans.
He informed in this meeting that offering education loan for students is one of the special priority objectives of the central government. This was the first group discussion conducted in this regard.
As per the feedbacks and suggestions received in this group discussions, activities will be initiated for simplifying and expediting the processing of educational loan applications.
Special relationship Officers will soon be posted in the Headquarters of the banks. A circular regarding this will soon be sent to the banks.
Stringent monitoring of the educational loan application processing will be done in order to eliminate the difficulties faced. Grievance Centres will be set up regarding the educational loans. An important thing to note is that the repayment of the education loan is equally important as getting it. One has to understand only if those who got educational loans repay the same, further loans can be given to the other students.
The central government has set up a portal known as Vidyalakshmi Portal for the benefit of the students. The students have to avail this facility.
The Minister also informed that a special commemorative coin and a special stamp will be released on the special occasion of the 1000th Anniversary of Sri Ramanuja.
