The corridors of Sabarimala lord Ayyappa temple to be opened on 14th March

The corridors of the famous Sabarimala lord Ayyappa temple will be opened at 5.30 PM on 14th March (Tuesday) in order to perform the special pooja on the occasion of the Tamil/Malayalam calendar month of Panguni.

Melsanthi Unnikrishnan Nambodiri will formally open the temple corridors in the presence of tantri kandararu rajeevaru and will perform Deeparadhana.

On the day of the temple corridors opening, no special pooja will be performed. Only the cleaning activities of the temple`s main Sanctum Sanctorum and the surroundings will be carried out.

However, from 15th March, the corridors will be opened by 4.00 AM early morning and various special Pooja including Nirmalya Dhrisanam, Ganapathy Homam, Neyi (Ghee) Abhishekham, Usha Pooja, Ucha Pooja, Deeparadhanai, Pushpabhishekham, and Athazha Pooja will be performed.

From 15th March to 18th March, special pooja including Padi pooja, Udhayasthmana pooja, Kalasa pooja, and Kalasabhishekham will be performed.

After performing Athazha pooja on 19th March, the song Harivarasanam will be chanted/sung and the corridors of the Sabarimala lord Ayyappa temple will be closed.
