Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palanisamy inaugurated the function of introducing a new mobile App facilitating payment of cable TV charges to Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited at the state government secretariat.
The state government of Tamil Nadu, through Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited, has been providing the cable TV service to the public. A monthly payment of Rs.70 is being collected for this service.
Only yesterday (Tuesday, 18th April), the central ministry of Information and Broadcasting had given approval to Arasu TV corporation to go ahead with the conversion to digital mode.
In this development, Chief Minister E. Palanisamy inaugurated the introduction of the Mobile App facility to make payments to Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited.
Now, the subscribers can make the cable TV monthly charges from 1st to 10th of every month. After this date, they will have to pay directly to the cable TV operator.
It has been informed that out of the monthly payment of Rs. 70 made by the subscriber, Rs. 20 will be credited to the state government and Rs. 50 will be credited to the local cable TV operator.
