Temperature may touch 107 Degrees Fahrenheit in Tamil Nadu

The hottest part of the summer, Agni Nakshatram, started yesterday (Thursday, 4th May). The heat was quite oppressive in Tamil Nadu.
It is a seasonal routine every year for summer rains. When enquiring about the onset of summer rains and any chances of heat abatement from the present scorching extent, the Chennai Meteorological Centre officials explained that there are prospects of rain in the next 24 hours in a few places in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu. It may rail in the delta districts, a few coastal districts, and Puducherry. It may also rain in Valparai, Nilgiris.
In general dry weather will continue to persist. Agni Nakshatram lasts until 28th May. During this period, there are prospects of hot winds blowing across from West and Southwest directions.
The temperature range of up to 107 Degrees Fahrenheit is expected in most cities in Tamil Nadu and the heat will be quite oppressive. There are no prospects of rain in Chennai.
