The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that the intensity of heat will be higher in Tamil Nadu - the temperature may go up by 4 Degrees.

The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained that more intense heat, higher than usual, has been prevailing in Andhra areas. Hot winds are blowing across from here in the Northeast direction.

Because of the hot winds from Andhra, there are prospects of the temperature going up by about 2 to 3 Degrees in the next 24 hours in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and 3 to 4 degrees higher in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu compared to the average temperature.

These conditions may prevail for the next 2 to 3 days. Depending on the setting of the sea breeze, there are possibilities of reduction in the temperature.

There are also prospects of rain with thunder in a few places in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu.
