5 New taluks of revenue department inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi K. Palaniswamy, inaugurated 5 new taluks of revenue department - Singampunari, Srimushnam, Andimadam, Koothanallur, and Kayatharu.
Formations:
- A section of the Kattumannarkoil in Cuddalore district removed and formed as Srimushnam taluk.
- A section of the Udayarpalayam circle in Ariyalur district removed and formed as Andimadam taluk.
- A section of the Needamangalam circle in Thiruvarur district removed and formed as Koothanallur taluk.
- A section of the Kovilpatti and Ottappidaram circles in Thoothukudi district removed and formed as Kayatharu taluk.
- A section of the Thirupathur circle in Sivagangai district removed and formed as Singampunrai taluk.
