Chennai to receive rain showers

After long days of blistering heat and prickly weather, Chennai may now chill down for the downpour as the nature seem to have turned merciful at the city. Today, the city is likely to receive rain showers. The weather is cloudy already, and you perhaps got astonished by seeing it. At any time, in Chennai, the thunderstorms may begin.
The feeble trough starting from Telangana and extending till North Coastal Tamil Nadu may bring rain showers.
The city is seeing a lot of moisture with the trough. This along with high day temperature has caused thunderclouds in the northern parts of the state and Chennai.
Reports also state that Chennai city may receive rain showers in the day during the late afternoon hours or around evening time. Because of this, the maximum temperature that was observed as 41 degree Celsius on Friday at 1 pm has now substantially reduced by 5 degrees. The maximum temperature at present is 36 degree Celsius.
