The state Minister for Dairy development, Mr Rajendra Balaji, has announced that Aavin will shortly introduce new milk packets priced Rs. 10.
There was a discussion in the Legislative Assembly on the grants and subsidies requested from the Department of Dairy Development.
During this discussion, the minister informed about the Aavin’s introduction of the new milk packet at Rs. 10. The packet will contain 225 ml.
The Minister further informed an ice-cream manufacturing plant is to be set up in Salem at an investment of Rs. 10 Crores. The minister informed that the retired employees who worked in Milk Cooperative Centres and the District Dairy Unions will be given half-a-litre of Aavin milk daily.
In this situation, with a view to increasing the sales, the minister informed about the decision to introduce Aavin milk packets at Rs. 10.
