Mukesh Ambani has come up with effective zero price offer. Under this, JioPhone can be purchased by paying a refundable security deposit of Rs 1,500. This amount can be refunded after 3 years.
During the 40th AGM, Aambani stressed the point that JioPhone will be made available for customers for nil price. They will be able to collect the complete deposit amount after 3 years. The need for security deposit is to avoid possible misuse of data.
Further announcements are likely soon. Every week, for the Indian customers, there will be 5 million JioPhone handsets made available.
With the JioPhone, users get unlimited voice, data and texts available. Customers need to recharge for Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan with the monthly pack of Rs 153. This provides the users with free voice, texts, unlimited data and complete access to Jio apps.
During the 40th AGM, announcement about Jio Phone TV-Cable was made. This will let all users get connected with their phone and TV sets. To make this connection between TV and mobile phone, users need to recharge with Rs 309 per month with the large screen.
On JioPhone, this phone supports over 22 languages and users can control phones with voice command. During the keynote presentation, there was a demo given on JioPhone’s voice command feature.
