The price of the subsidised LPG cooking gas cylinder is up by Rs. 7. So, the revised price is Rs. 487.18.
The central government sells the LPG cooking gas cylinders at subsidised rates. In this situation, the central minister for Petroleum, Dharmendra Pradahan, has informed that the subsidy given for LPG cooking gas cylinder will be stopped before the end of this year. Also, the price of the cylinder will be gradually increased at the rate of Rs. 4 every month.
Accordingly, the price of the 14.2 kg LPG cooking gas cylinder used exclusively for domestic purposes was increased by Rs. 7 yesterday (Friday, 1st September). This, the price went up from Rs. 479.77 per cylinder to Rs. 487.18.
Further, the price of kerosene, sold under the PDS (Public Distribution System), was increased by 25 Paise per litre.
