3 More new procedures have been announced to link Aadhar and the mobile phone. The link to Aadhar card has been made mandatory to avail various welfare services and schemes.
Accordingly, the central government had announced that it is mandatory to link Aadhar card data with the mobile phones. A deadline till 6th February has been announced for this.
Until now, in order to carry this out, the individuals needed to visit the mobile phone shops. In order to reduce the hardships faced by the public in this effort, the central government had asked the mobile phone companies to come up with alternative simpler procedures.
Accordingly, the central government has approved the new facilities announced by the mobile companies.
The CEO of the Aadhar Commission, Ajay Bhushan Pandey, informed that the mobile companies have come forward with the introduction of new procedures to link the mobile with Aadhar card.
3 new procedures - The OTP (One Time Password) procedure to link with Aadhar, a new mobile App, and IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System) – have been accorded approval by the central government.
With the above facilities, it is possible for the public to link their mobile phone with Aadhar card from wherever they are located.
These facilities will come into effect from 1st December. Further, the existing procedure to visit the agents of the mobile phone will also continue.
