Making its entry with a bang, Reliance Jio entered the field of telecommunication services with the offer of free internet and other concessions. With this sensational and attractive offer, many customers started switching over to Reliance Jio. Naturally, this hugely affected the business of the competitors in this filed.

Though initially rattled, they also started announcing some sensational offers in an effort to retain their customer. The competitors operating on a lower scale could not survive.

As one of the competitors Aircel found the competition quite tough, it has decided to close its services in 6 states. This announcement has been made by TRAI.

Aircel is closing its services in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

Aircel has already requested its customers to change over to other networks.

Earlier, Reliance withdrew from the competition. Now, Aircel has joined. It informed that the revenues had reduced and with low revenues, it was not possible to provide quality services.

However, Aircel has informed that its services will continue in Tamil Nadu and other states and these customers will not be affected.
