Trump government decides to send back 5 lakh Indians

The administration of the USA, under the president Donald Trump, has decided to send back 5 Lakh Indians.
It may be recalled that during his presidential campaign, Trump had promised that the 1st Priority for jobs will be given to the native Americans. Accordingly, once he assumed office as president, his government has been imposing a lot of restrictions and regulations and has decided that the visas of the foreigners will not be extended.
This has put the job prospects of over 5 Lakh Indians employed in the IT sector in jeopardy and they might have to return to India.
As per the present regulations, they can continue in their present jobs up to a maximum period of 6 years. If they manage to get the ‘Green Card’ for the US citizenship within this period, their visas will be extended to an unlimited period.
