The Government operated telecommunication network, BSNL signed an agreement with Nokia to launch the 4G services in some selected regions of India. This pact includes the service of providing 4G network for 10 circles around the western and southern regions of India.
According to the reports of the BSNL CMD Anupam Shrivastava, the new agreement with Nokia enables the use of RAN technology for the 4G service covering the regions of West and South of the country.
Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Telangana are the regions selected for the imposition of RAN technology running the 4G services for 38 million BSNL subscribers. This technology will largely improve the overall efficiency in distribution and also the cost of operation is comparatively lower than other 4G providing hubs in India.
It is estimated that the monthly 4G data usage per user was about 11 GB per month and so the further implications of advancement into 5G network are in the stages of early development and estimation.
BSNL users can enjoy the improved data services embodying the video and audio buffering much faster than before, satisfying the huge data network demand across the country. Nokia informed the official statement to the press stating their immense pleasure in teaming up with the state owned telecom provider BSNL for the widespread of fast data services in India.
